As part of its commitment to stay at the forefront of technology ahead of the competition, Artisan continues to invest heavily into research on evolving technologies and standards which provides the basis for future product portfolio enhancements. In addition to these research efforts, Artisan is heavily involved in supporting standards organizations such as the OMG which are shaping the future of systems developemnt.

Artisan’s primary research focus is in the realm of embedded systems development and safety critical systems. To maximise the benefits of Artisan’s research efforts, Artisan partners with companies and institutions often leveraging both UK and European research funding initiatives and US sponsored grant programs.

Artisan is currently involved in three EU Framework 7 projects that are supporting key areas of interest. The partners on these projects are acknowledged leaders in their fields of expertise from academia, industry and users – ensuring that Artisan is getting the most useful input and feedback into its research efforts, and the ultimate commercialization of the research into its products.

While most formal R&D programs are several years in duration, Artisan and its partners are focused on obtaining early commercial usefulness of its efforts and will actively disseminate information in its interim progress through numerous industry and academic forums during the course of these projects as it is important to give its customers and industry as much general knowledge as possible on the future direction of technology.
