DOORS Integration
Artisan Software Tools’ SysML Requirements Profile supports the OMG SysML standard by providing support for requirements directly inside the model. The Profile has been designed to allow requirements to be fully integrated into the modeling environment regardless of domain. This empowers teams to work with requirements not just in the systems analysis phase of a project but throughout the entire project’s lifecycle, all the way through to verification and beyond.
Critical to any large development effort is the management of traceability between requirements and other model artifacts – as it is the requirements that specify the delivery of work between teams. The ability to model your requirements inside the same tool as your other artifacts improves communication and understanding of requirements both upstream and downstream at all stages in the project reducing rework and increasing your ability to deliver on time.
Artisan Studio includes a comprehensive DOORS bi-directional synchronization capability. This allows the creation modification or removal of requirements and traceability in either Studio or DOORS through the synchronization of the contents of the two tools. The synchronizer can create surrogate modules in DOORS allowing the export of traceability data as defined in Studio between artifacts such as code or verification scripts into the Telelogic DOORS tool. Artisan Studio DOORS synchronizer provides an attractive and intuitive wizard based user interface making the tool easy to learn and powerful to use out of the box. It provides a simple yet flexible filtering system for model objects and their properties to reduce DOORS module complexity ensuring that the contents of the modules are as navigable and informative as possible.
As an alternative to the synchronizer Geensys Reqtify supports Artisan’s Requirements Profile by providing a bridging technology for the synchronization of requirements with multiple external sources such as Telelogic DOORS, Microsoft Excel and Word.
