Artisan products are utilizing a reliable architecture, with a robust and scalable data storage, and its integrated change management of repositories, models, and model elements which enable a collaboration culture within which the systems, software, and hardware engineers teams can excel. However, this collaboration environment only works well when run over suitable networks and servers; one or more weak servers or one or more “noisy” network segments can introduce processing and communications delays which needlessly render unproductive your collaboration environment.
Artisan can provide a one day network health check to assure that a user's network environment is fully confirgured to support the needs of the Artisan product portfolio. Reviewing both network configuration, database and repository settings, storage & logging/backup protocols and other likely operating bottlenecks can assure the most robust operationg environment on the exisiting infrastructure.
Artisan will also assist in the selection and installation of appropriate workstations, servers, network routers, memories, disk arrays, bandwidth, user access control, and application and operating system software for your Artisan collaboration environment. Additionally, Artisan's Training Department offers a course on Systems Administration which offers guidance on best current practices for administration of your IT infrastructure and of your Artisan Studio databases.
