MODAF-202 : MODAF Modeling with Artisan Studio
Course Particulars
Course Description
This two-day course is intended for anyone wishing to learn how to use Artisan Studio to create MODAF models. It provides an overview of the key concepts and structure of MODAF; it also provides a brief introduction to Artisan Studio and the main principles behind Artisan’s ergonomic profiling capabilities through which MODAF modelling is provided. The course also provides detailed consideration of process issues relating to the development of MODAF models. Much of the course time is spent in hands-on MODAF modelling using Artisan’s DoDAF profile.
Course Objectives
- To summarize the structure of MODAF and outline key concepts.
- To provide essential background information about the use of Artisan Studio for MODAF modellers.
- To examine various models of development process defined for MODAF.
- To identify the main generic structural, functional and navigational mechanisms built in the Artisan’s MODAF modelling environment.
- To provide substantial practical experience in constructing MODAF products and views.
- To consider process related issues relevant to building MODAF models.
Attendees Will Learn
- The structure of MODAF and how Artisan’s MODAF implementation relates to this.
- How to navigate and understand MODAF models.
- How to build MODAF models using Artisan Studio.
- What information sources are available to support MODAF modelling with Artisan.
- Guidelines for developing MODAF models.
Pre-requisites
- Knowledge of MODAF and some familiarity with Artisan Studio are both helpful, but not essential.
Who Should Attend
- This course is designed for people who will either need to understand or create Artisan MODAF models.
Attendees Receive
- A bound and annotated copy of all course slides
Course Format
The course involves some presentation and discussion, but is mainly practical in nature. Much of the first day is spent learning the use Artisan’s AF modelling tool (the Artisan DoDAF profile), the second day is largely devoted to the development of a MODAF case study.
